What’s Unique About My Approach to Remedial Massage

My remedial massage therapy works towards encouraging the whole person to relax, even when focusing on easing specific muscle groups. After working with thousands of people on a range of issues requiring remedial massage, it’s my deeply held belief that total relaxation is a prerequisite to effective remedial massage; simply put, it’s imperative that remedial massage is delivered in a manner that eliminates the risk of muscle resistance.

In remedial massage sessions, I begin with therapeutic massage techniques to relax the body and mind of my patient, and this creates the correct context for healing to take place. I also frequently combine a range of therapeutic techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping and deep tissue therapy, to alleviate pain and restore full function to an affected body part.
